Electro-Card Workshops

I've had lots of fun running electro-card workshops with kids from the ages of 6-12. Electro-cards are greeting cards that light up, courtesy of Bare Conductive's non-toxic electrically conductive paint. Paint? Yup. Paint. That means we can make a simple circuit using a paint brush, sticky tape, and simple components like LED's and coin cell batteries. Kids can use provided templates or draw their own circuits.

Welcome to Maker Junior

Maker Junior uses "Maker" inspired projects to help kids:

• learn about technology
• create using art materials, technical tools and components
• innovate and work with projects of their own

Maker Junior is new, and was founded in 2013 by Alison Evans Adnani, a veteran of Ottawa's high-tech industry.  We're working this summer to have workshops open for Fall 2013, follow us here and on facebook to watch what's happening.
